meet Leonard Shryock

    • Recently retired high school educator of 30 years where he primarily served the Norwalk La Mirada Unified School District (NLMUSD)

    • Served the public educational community as a NLMUSD School Board Member for 9 years (1995-2004)

    • Served the Norwalk residents as a Norwalk City Council Member for 9 years (2011-2020)

    • Norwalk native who graduated from Excelsior High

    • Holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (CSU, Long Beach) and a Master of Science in Educational Administration (CSU, Fullerton)

  • Shryock’s mission is centered around serving the Norwalk residents, by holding the City Manager accountable to implement the council’s policy decisions while taking a stand and stepping forward to bring proven, trusted leadership to City Hall.

  • With the City of Norwalk navigating new developments and economic shifts, Shryock is committed to ensuring public policy priorities, which include:

    • Enhancing public safety
